Georgia's Jobless Rate Falls to 8.7% in October

More Georgians are finding work. The state’s jobless rate fell to 8.7% in October, down from 9% in September. More than 17,000 people entered Georgia’s workforce last month. So the fact that the state’s jobless rate went down, instead of up, is a good sign, according to Jeff Rosensweig, a finance professor and global economist at Emory’s Goizueta Business School.
